They wondered why, after working for almost 4 years in this industry, I never opted to climb up the corporate ladder. Well, I don’t want to grow old here and I want to be open in changing careers in the (near) future. Besides, the setup we have in the office is not exactly the environment I want to grow my roots in. Imagine a being in a lion’s den. I would just prefer to sit quietly and mind my own business. As long as I’m being paid for the work I do, I’m fine. Being promoted is a big deal but I see it as an opportunity to be overworked and underpaid. I don’t need that right now. Besides, I wouldn’t dare put my head in the lion’s mouth (if you know what I mean).
