I can’t believe it’s already December! The typhoon is not as scary as everyone expected it to be. It’s actually a cool and breezy day outside. So, let’s start this month with a very interesting quiz from dadaprofae and geewitch. Hehe!

Be Safe

Photo from ABS-CBN news
Another super typhoon is on its way here. ‘Reming’ (International codename: Durian) is estimated to hit Manila at approximately 8 PM tonight. People are trying to be more careful this time. The government suspended classes on all levels in advance. The huge billboards in major highways have been rolled. Though there is no rain now, the wind is a bit strong outside. Life still goes on because I’ll still be going to work tonight (maybe a little earlier than usual) but be safe everyone!
Birthday Treat
Happy Birthday sis!!!

my sis and her birthday gift (haha!)
It’s my sister’s birthday and since she still hasn’t left home for Cavite, she decided to make the day special and dragged me to watch Sponge Cola in 99.5 RT Sunday Sessions (6PM to 9:30PM). There was a bit of a delay but it was really fun. There were only 4 of us supporters who watched them from outside the booth and since it was my sister’s birthday, Chris (drummer) also greeted her on air and dedicated their song "The Wandering" to us, Losties. Thanks Chris! I was a bit nervous at first but since they’re all very friendly, we felt comfortable in no time. Thanks to Kuya Dong for taking the pictures inside the booth and for everyone for making us feel welcome.
After the show, it was a bit surreal. I can’t believe that they’re just eating pizza and mingling with us. I started snapping pics and since I’m at a loss for words, just look at the pics we got. Thanks Rayms! Thanks Sponge Cola!
Happy Feet
Fluffy, sentimental, extremely funny and cuteness galore! It’s been a while since I saw a movie that made me laugh so hard I got tears in my eyes and gasped for air. The Ugly Amigos especially Ramon, voiced by Robin Williams, rock! There were even moments when I can’t help but move my feet along with the beat. I wish I’d get a chance to see it in 3-D because the effects are oh-so-cool! I can watch it over and over again and I’d still gush all over the place and laugh until my cheeks hurt. The songs are beautiful and the story is meaningful. Kids and kids-at-heart will enjoy this movie!
P.S.
I got to watch it with the other Hogwarts Philippines members and it was fun just cheering and clapping our hands when we saw the teaser trailer of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix". We didn’t care and loved every minute of it!

Finding Happy Thoughts
The world stopped for Filipinos watching the Pacquiao-Morales fight today. In my background the TV is blaring the delayed telecast. My family’s cheering for the Filipino fighters. In all honesty, I don’t really care. The world goes on especially if someone supposed to be special preferred to watch the fight than being with you. Wouldn’t you feel "un-special" then? Besides, I think it’s mostly media hype.
Good thing I’ve gathered enough happy thoughts yesterday to last me the weekend. After shift, my friends and I went to this mini market in Salcedo Village in Makati. It was wonderful! I saw food I haven’t even seen or even tasted before. A lot of people were milling around. There were fruits and flowers and roasted pork, beef and fish (and they were roasting it there!) There were even more foreigners in there than locals. In the middle there was a place where one can sit down, share a table and eat heartily. Too bad I didn’t have much appetite yesterday. I didn’t even finish my fresh lumpia, but I love the flavored iced tea! At least I brought home a yummy chocolate mousse and another one with black and white layers of chocolate. I had difficulty finding something sugar-free for my diabetic father. Later, I ended up buying sugar free double fudge cookies for him. It was a bit pricey but it’s for my father so I just had to close my eyes when I paid for them. It was worth it when I saw the look in his face. Haha! I wanna go back there next week and probably try the tiramisu, Krispy Kreme donuts and tuna pasta. Hehe!
After that we had lunch in Red Box and my throat still hurts a bit after 3 hours of videoke. It was fun though even if there were only 4 of us who sang our hearts out.
Going back to reality, I wonder when I’ll be strong enough to learn to let go. It may mean giving up but on the other hand, it’s like fighting the urge of wanting something (or someone) that was not meant for me. More than 3 years should be enough.
Cancer
A relationship is entering a hard period. Focus on the issue and fix it fast. Prepare yourself for an indecisive phase. Such confusion could shake a lesser mortal’s confidence, but you should see it as an opportunity to appreciate how difficult everyday choices can be. Instead of fighting your tendency to look at all aspects of a problem, just go with it. Enjoy how things can look different from different perspectives, and indulge in the luxury of being able to process many options before committing to one solution.
Oh well. What can a girl do?
Almost Perfect
Almost… but not quite.
